Review changes and pull requests

Read every diff the agent makes, stage and commit from the Changes tab, and create or review pull requests without leaving Mach Studio.

The agent writes the code; you stay in charge of what ships. The Changes tab shows what changed, turn by turn, with commit and pull request tools right next to the chat.

Open the Changes tab

Click + in the tab strip and choose Changes, or press Cmd+Alt+R. It shows the repository of the current project, or the worktree when the chat runs in one.

Pick what to look at

Use the view selector at the top of the tab:

  • Uncommitted, Staged, and Untracked show the working tree the way Git sees it.
  • Last turn and Turn N show only the files one agent turn touched, so you can check each step as it lands.
  • All agent changes shows everything the agent has changed in this session.
  • Branch vs base compares your branch with the branch it started from, as a read-only diff.

Click a file to expand its diff. Use Collapse all files to tidy up.

Stage, discard, and commit

Hover a file to Stage or Unstage it, or to Discard changes. Untracked files offer Delete instead.

Type a message in the Commit message box and choose Commit, Commit and push, Commit and open PR, or Amend last commit. Cmd+Enter commits from the message box. The More menu holds Fetch origin, Pull with rebase, Stash all changes, Discard all changes, and Open repo on GitHub.

Create a pull request

Switch to Branch vs base and click Create pull request. Once the branch has a request, the same spot shows Open PR #N. A chat tied to a pull request also offers Open Pull Request from its right-click menu in the sidebar.

Pull request tracking uses the GitHub CLI. Install it and sign in with gh auth login on this computer.

Review a pull request

A pull request opens as its own tab with Overview, Files, Activity, Checks, and Commits. The overview tells you where it stands: checks running or failed, review required, changes requested, or ready to merge. In Files you can add comments on the diff. Checks shows each check with its log, with Re-run actions for your own workflows.

From the actions menu you can Merge with Squash and merge, Merge commit, or Rebase and merge, Check out the branch locally, or arm Auto-merge when green. Open on GitHub takes you to the same request on the web.
