Automations (Pro)

Run the agent on a schedule or when something happens in a connected app, and read the results as ordinary chats.

Automations let the agent work while you do something else. A morning briefing is ready before you sit down. A competitor watch runs every Monday. An inbox triage fires when new mail arrives. Each run is a real chat with a full transcript, so you can see exactly what the agent did.

Automations are part of Pro. On the free plan your saved automations are kept, but nothing runs.

Start from a template

Open Extensions → Automations. If you have no automations yet, the template gallery is the first thing you see; otherwise click Browse templates.

Templates cover common jobs such as Daily topic research, Morning news briefing, Competitor / company watch, Tech / library release radar, and Weekly trend digest. Templates built on an app, like Daily calendar brief, End-of-day Slack summary, or Inbox triage, need that app connected first; the card tells you which one. See Integrations.

Click a template to open it in the editor with the trigger and instructions filled in. Adjust anything you like, then save.

Create one from scratch

  1. Click New automation and give it a name.
  2. Pick a Trigger. Choose a schedule such as Every day at 9:00 AM, Weekdays at 9:00 AM, Every hour, or Mondays at 9:00 AM. Schedules follow your local time zone. Or pick an event from a connected app, such as a new message, and use the Available data chips to drop details from that event into your instructions.
  3. Write the Agent instructions. This is the same composer you use in chat, so you can choose a model and the tools the agent may use.
  4. Click Create automation.

You can also just ask the agent in a chat to set up an automation for you.

Where results show up

Each automation card shows whether it is Active or Paused, when it last ran, and a Run now button for testing. After a manual run, click Open run to jump straight to the transcript.

Open an automation to see Recent runs with a status of Succeeded, Failed, Running, or Cancelled, and open any run to read what the agent produced. To get a ping when a scheduled run finishes, turn on Automations under Settings → Notifications.

Automations run on this computer. Pause one at any time with the switch on its card, or delete it from the card's menu.
