Integrations
Connect Gmail, Slack, Notion, and other apps so the agent can work inside the tools you already use.
Integrations give the agent a way into your apps. Connect Gmail and it can read and draft mail. Connect Slack and it can post a summary. Open Extensions → Integrations to browse everything available, search by name, or filter by category and connection status.
There are three ways to connect, and two of them are free.
Hosted integrations (Pro)
The simplest path. Mach Studio handles the connection for you, and 150+ apps are ready to go.
- Sign in with Syzygy if you have not already.
- Open Extensions → Integrations and click Connect on an app.
- Finish signing in to that app in your browser, then return to Mach Studio.
Some apps ask for an API key or similar credentials instead of a browser sign-in. The dialog shows the fields it needs under Connection credentials.
Hosted connections are included with Pro. On the free plan, cards that need the hosted route say Pro required, and you can switch to one of the free paths below.
Bring your own Composio key (free)
If you have a Composio account, use your own key and skip the Pro requirement.
- Open Settings → Integrations.
- Under Integration provider, set Provider to Composio (BYOK).
- Paste your key under Composio API key and click Save key. Click Test connection to check it.
The key is stored on this computer and encrypted by the system. No Syzygy account is needed. Connecting apps then works the same way: click Connect and finish signing in.
Custom MCP servers (free)
Add any MCP server you run yourself or get from a vendor.
- Open Extensions → Integrations and click Add custom integration.
- Give it a Name and choose how to reach it: a command with Arguments and Environment variables, or an HTTP endpoint with Headers.
- Click Test to confirm it responds, then Discover tools to see what it offers.
- Pick a Tool filter mode (Allow all tools, Allow only selected tools, or Block selected tools) and click Save.
Custom integrations appear in the grid under the Custom category.
Control what the agent can do
Each tool an integration offers has a rule: Allow runs it automatically, Ask prompts you first, and Block hides it from the agent. Open Settings → Integrations → Configured integrations and click Manage Permissions to set them.
You can also turn an integration off for a single chat from the tools picker in the composer. To remove one entirely, open it and click Disconnect.
