Install and sign in
Download Mach Studio, launch it, and decide whether to sign in with your Syzygy account.
Mach Studio takes a minute to set up. Download it, open it, and start chatting. Signing in is optional and you can do it any time.
Download and launch
- Go to withsyzygy.com and click the download button.
- Open the download and launch Mach Studio.
- The app opens on a new session with the composer ready at the bottom.
Mach Studio keeps itself up to date. You can check for a new version at any time from Settings → Updates. See Updates.
Choose where your answers come from
Before the first message, Mach Studio needs at least one way to run a model. Pick any of these, no account required:
- Local models: open Local models in the sidebar, choose a model under Browse, and download it. See Download a model.
- Your own API keys: open Settings → Inference, scroll to Custom Providers, and click Add provider.
- Claude Code, Codex CLI, or OpenCode: open Extensions → Harnesses and turn on a harness. Sign in with the account you already pay for, or just start chatting with OpenCode on Mach Studio's models. See Set up a harness.
If nothing is set up yet, the chat area shows Add a provider before chatting with an Open Settings button.
Sign in with Syzygy (optional)
Click Sign in with Syzygy at the bottom of the sidebar, or open Settings → General and click Sign in with Syzygy under Account. Your browser opens to finish signing in. When you come back, your name appears at the bottom of the sidebar.
Signing in adds:
- Cloud models from the Syzygy catalog, paid per token or covered by Pro credits. See Cloud models.
- Pro features: hosted integrations, automations, remote control, and cloud environments. See Plans.
Everything else, including local models, your own keys, your Claude Code, Codex CLI, and OpenCode accounts, your own Composio key, and custom MCP servers, works without an account.
Sign out
Click your name at the bottom of the sidebar and choose Sign out, or open Settings → General and click Sign out under Account. Your local models, keys, and harness accounts stay in place. See Your Syzygy account.
