Cloud environments and remote control

Manage devices and access

Review the computers and browsers that can reach this computer, unpair the ones you no longer use, and reset remote control if it is revoked.

Everything that can reach this computer is listed in one place: Settings → Remote Control. Review it whenever you retire a device or lend one out.

Paired computers

The Environments group lists the computers you have paired. These are the environments you can choose under Remote in the composer, and whose shared sessions appear in your sidebar.

To remove one, click Unpair beside it. Its shared sessions leave your sidebar and it disappears from the Environment picker. Pair again from Add an environment whenever you like.

Paired remote clients

The Paired remote clients group lists every browser and computer approved to access this computer, with the date each was paired.

Click Unpair to remove one. Its access ends and it is disconnected. For a paired computer, this also removes the matching environment saved on this computer.

Discoverability

The Discoverable on your account switch controls whether new browsers and computers on your account can find this computer and ask to pair. Turn it off to stop new connections. Devices you already approved keep their access, and sessions you have shared stay available.

Set up again

If this computer's remote access is revoked, Settings → Remote Control shows Remote access revoked with a Set up again button.

  1. Click Set up again.
  2. Confirm in the dialog.

This gives the computer a fresh remote-control identity. Every browser and computer that was paired with it must remove its old pairing and pair again before it can connect. Treat an identity change you did not make as a warning, and do not approve a pairing you did not start.

Devices on the web dashboard

The dashboard's Devices page shows the same picture across your whole account:

  • Remote control lists every computer registered for remote control. Revoke device cuts it off from the account.
  • Cloud environments lists the devices signed in to your cloud environments. Sign out all devices clears them so each one signs in again.

To get there, click Manage cloud environments in Settings → Remote Control, then choose Devices in the dashboard's navigation.
