Pair your computers
Connect two computers signed in to the same account so each can start and follow sessions on the other.
Pairing links two of your computers. Once paired, sessions with remote control turned on show up in both sidebars, and you can start a new session on either computer from the other. Pairing is free on every plan.
Before you start
- Open Mach Studio on both computers and sign in to the same Syzygy account.
- On the computer you want to add, open Settings → Remote Control and turn on Discoverable on your account. Without it, that computer does not appear in the list.
- Keep both computers awake while you pair.
Add the other computer
- On the first computer, open Settings → Remote Control.
- Under Add an environment, find the other computer in the list. Click Refresh if it is not there yet.
- Click Add. A dialog shows a six-digit Pairing code while it waits for the other computer to answer.
If the row says the other computer is offline or needs an update, fix that first. The list tells you what is wrong.
Confirm the code on the other computer
The other computer shows a dialog saying that your first computer wants to pair, with its own six-digit code.
- Compare the two codes. They must match exactly.
- If they match, confirm it on the other computer. If they differ, click Deny. A mismatch means something is interfering with the connection.
When the pairing completes, the first computer reports Paired with that computer. Compatible versions pair in both directions in one step, so each computer can access the other's shared sessions.
What happens next
- The paired computer appears under Environments in Settings → Remote Control on both machines.
- Sessions with remote control turned on appear in your sidebar with a remote mark.
- It also appears under Remote in the composer's Environment picker, so you can start a session there.
To remove a pairing later, see Manage devices and access.
